Thoroughbred Landscape Products™ a division of Creech Services, Inc. began in 2000. However our president Charles T. Creech, a well respected supplier of hay and straw to the horse industry, has been in business in Lexington, Kentucky since 1981 when Charles T. Creech, Inc., was founded.

Creech Services, Inc. was founded in 1987 to meet a growing need of local horse farms. The primary function of Creech Services at that time was to provide an outlet for farms used horse bedding. The main use of this bedding is to ship to mushroom farms where it serves as the major ingredient in their compost growth medium.  By employing the same level of outstanding service and on time delivery as Charles T. Creech, Inc., Creech Services was recognized in 1991, as the recipient of the Select Supplier Award from Campbell’s Soup Company, for consistent delivery to its mushroom operations.

In 2000, Creech Services began construction of its own compost facility that was completed in early 2001. By 2005 another ten acres of concrete doubled its capacity. Since that time, in addition to shipping to mushroom farms, Creech Services has been producing its Thoroughbred and Standardbred Composts from the excess horse bedding for use by local gardeners, landscapers, greenhouses and even its horse farm customers.

In 2004 Creech Services, Inc. acquired Wholesale Mulch, a retail mulch business, expanding its product offerings to the community. In 2006 the facility was renamed Creech Mulch. In 2007 a decision was made to move from a retail operation to a purely wholesale distributor. A network of proven retail and landscape companies were chosen that had the same philosophy of delivering quality products and services to their customers as Creech Services has done over the years. Thus our line of Thoroughbred Landscape Products became more widely distributed in Central Kentucky and beyond.

Our goal is to maintain the quality of our products and services to our dealer network and to expand our offerings to meet the needs of our dealer’s customers and landscapers.
